May 13, 2024 – Common Ground Conservatives: Facebook Post
We are excited to announce the Common Ground Conservatives running for the ORP 4th Congressional District Officer Election happening on May 25, 2024! Please watch our page for information on our candidates, including biography info, endorsements, and the vision and mission we will carry as we work to advance our conservative Republican values here in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District. This page is dedicated to the many conservative Republicans who serve their constituents in Oregon while carrying the torch for unity, our shared conservative values, and our commitment to serving our communities. Our mission is to unite the counties in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District to advance these principles.
Candidate Rod Schilling for CD4 Chair
I’m running for chair of Congressional District Four, with a slate of dedicated individuals, in a quest to wrest this Federal Congressional seat away from one of the most corrupt Democrats to ever represent us.
Our slate is endorsed by State Senators David Brock Smith and Dick Anderson, State House Representatives Boomer Wright, Virgle Osborne and Court Boice, National Committee Woman Traci Honl, Douglas County Chair Larry Reeves, Lane County Chair John Large, Lincoln County Chair Joan Crall, and the Coos County Republican Executive Committee.
In my four terms as Chair of the Coos County Republican Central Committee, our folks have succeeded in turning a longtime blue County into a Red powerhouse, where Republicans now enjoy a nearly 28% advantage in voter registration over the Democrats. We were able to flip a House seat and a Senate seat, that were held by the Democrats for decades.
My experience in the ORP includes 4 terms as Coos County Chair, one term as ORP Finance Chair, I’ve been a PCP for 14 years, and I currently reside on the ORP’s complaint committee.
My life experience includes most of 40 years as a professional Firefighter both in California and the Pacific Northwest, Owner/Operator of a successful contracting business for 30+ years, 20 years as a volunteer Ski Patrolman, City Counselor and Mayor of Lakeside Oregon, and I am currently or have served on various counsels and boards.
Our opponents include three individuals who were just recalled from their positions in their counties central committee by a better than 7 to 1 vote ratio, one who seems to have a financial interest in getting one of the recalled individuals into a Senate seat, and one, who by her actions, has shown herself to be a Democrat plant at best. All of these individuals have on numerous occasions publicly attacked sitting Republican elected officials and County Central Committees. All of these individuals have conspired with the media to do harm to our party. And, in my opinion, all have shown themselves to be particularly nasty individuals.
I’m asking you to please vote for our slate in its entirety and help us to move forward.

Sheri Brady for CD4 Vice Chair
Dear ORP State Central Committee and CD4 PCPs,
Thank you so much for considering my candidacy for Congressional District 4 Vice Chair. In these challenging times, it’s more crucial than ever to unite around our shared values and common goals. As Republicans, we all want the same things for our families and communities: safety, security, opportunity, and to leave a legacy for our children and families. That’s why I am running on a platform of common ground, focusing on the issues that matter most to all of us.
About Me:
My involvement in the party has been a mix of hard work and passion. Since 2019, some of the highlights include being twice elected as Secretary of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee and previously serving as PCP Coordinator for Douglas County. As an active PCP I’ve been deeply involved in grassroots engagement. I’ve had the opportunity to lead voter registration and GOTV activity, community info sessions and school board election forums, as well as lead and build canvassing and election observer teams starting with the May 17, 2022 Primary Election.
I’m passionate about building our grassroots base and getting out the vote, and am thankful for the opportunity to work with the Faith and Freedom Coalition as a Regional Team Leader for the Nov 8, 2022 General Election. I have served the Young Republicans of Oregon as an Honorary Member and Douglas County liaison since 2021, and had the opportunity to serve on the Alek Skarlatos for Congress 2022 Campaign Team as a door-to-door canvasser, as well as Monique DeSpain’s 2024 Congressional Campaign as one of the Douglas County Volunteer Coordinators. I’ve also been able to assist with several other campaigns, events and committees in support of the ORP, conservative Republican candidates and non-profits. Additionally, I had the honor of serving as the Secretary for the Health Care plank committee at the 2021 ORP Platform Convention.
In addition to my political involvement, I bring over 14 years of experience in office administration and graphic design, skills that have equipped me with the ability to lead effectively and communicate persuasively. From canvassing to graphic design projects, I’ve honed my ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with diverse teams, skills that will serve me well in the role of Vice Chair. My time serving in the Army Reserve National Guard taught me about discipline, teamwork, and grit. Those values have stuck with me ever since.
Community service is also one of my core values. Over the years I’ve served on various teams at my church, from working in the nursery to teaching preschool classes, led worship teams, served consecutive years on our conference teams, and currently volunteer on our coffee bar on Sundays. It’s important to me to invest in where my children are. I currently serve on the Parent Fellowship Committee for Geneva Academy, am the 7th & 8th Grade Homeroom Parent, and this year I had the opportunity to Chair the Umpqua Valley Cal Ripken Hit a Thon Fundraising committee. I believe in hard work and commitment to my priorities.
My Mission:
My primary goal as Vice Chair will be to work collaboratively with our team and the counties within CD4 to ensure the successful election of the Fourth Congressional District nominee in this November’s election. I strongly believe that the opportunities I have had to serve up to this point have uniquely equipped me for this role. I am also excited about facilitating coordination and communication among CD4 districts in a way that fosters unity and collaboration within our party. I believe in building our party up, not tearing it down, and commit to supporting our elected leadership with dignity and respect.
Endorsements:
I am thankful for the support and endorsements I’ve received throughout this campaign! But beyond the endorsements, I’m also incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have had to learn and grow through the mentorship of the leaders I have worked with. Their guidance, wisdom, and encouragement are a gift to me, and I am humbled by the chance to learn from each of them. My personal endorsements include House District 4 Candidate Alek Skarlatos, Representative Virgle Osborne, and Senator David Brock Smith. I am also very excited that our slate of common ground conservatives overall has earned the endorsements of State Senators David Brock Smith and Dick Anderson, State House Representatives Boomer Wright, Virgle Osborne and Court Boice, National Committee Woman Tracy Honl, Douglas County Chair Larry Reeves, Lane County Chair John Large, Lincoln County Chair Joan Crall, and the Coos County Republican Executive Committee.
Thanks again for your support and consideration for this opportunity. Let’s do this together!
