Coos County, OR. – Official Release: The Coos County Fair Board, staff and volunteers are developing a covered eating area for community members and visitors to have a shaded place to enjoy their meals.
Community groups and private vendors have long used the Fair as an opportunity to fund-raise and share their cuisine with the community. With an increased number of mobile food vendors and booths, it’s critical that participants have the opportunity to enjoy food in a comfortable space during the fair … which often happens in the hottest parts of the summer.
The Midway Pavilion will create that opportunity. Funded with a grant from Business Oregon, the new eating structure will provide the space to eat, centrally located near the food vendors, as well as an opportunity to host more outdoor community and private events on the Fairgrounds property.
This year’s Fair is scheduled from July 23 through 27 at the Coos County Fairgrounds in Myrtle Point. https://www.co.coos.or.us/
