Clackamas County, OR. – Official release: At around 1:30 a.m. on March 21, 2024, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious death at the site of a fire in unincorporated Clackamas County.
Minutes earlier, fire crews from Clackamas Fire District #1 responded to a fire in the 8000 block of SE Flavel Drive. While extinguishing the fire, crews discovered a deceased individual at the scene and contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Office detectives, Crime Scene Investigators (CSI), an arson investigator with the Oregon State Police, fire investigators with Clackamas Fire, and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and are assisting with the investigation.
Investigators are currently working to identify the victim. CCSO detectives are asking the public for tips as they continue to investigate.
