March 19, 2024 – Republican Unity Caucus: The Battle for America First Republicans in Oregon Escalates in House District 51
In the final hours leading to the deadline to file for office in the 2024 General Election, Christine Drazan made the choice to challenge Republican Representative James Hieb for his House seat, with no Democrat challenger in the race. This is a contest that ends at the May 21st primary.
Christine Drazan is supported by special interest groups who want to continue their agenda of socializing housing and healthcare and continue to undermine election integrity and local democratic control of our school districts.
Most Republicans in Oregon are aware of the facts about Christine Drazan. That’s why nearly 80% of us voted against her in the 2022 gubernatorial primary.
James was originally appointed to the House of Representatives to replace Drazan when she ran for Governor. At the outset, he mostly voted with the establishment. But, as he began to realize the House Caucus didn’t represent the best interests of their constituents, he began an assent to fearlessly representing his voters (you).
This explains why Drazan and her establishment Republicans want to take him out. It also explains why, after spending tens of millions of dollars to earn statewide name recognition, running for Governor, that Drazan would use her influence to steal a local house seat from an America First Republican.
The Republican Unity Caucus stands strong with Rep. James Hieb. He is a husband, a father and a two-tour combat veteran with a steadfast dedication to your best interests. He’s endorsed by the Republican Unity Caucus, PAC for his commitment to America First politics; Free Oregon, Inc. for his commitment to constitutional rights; Oregon Firearms Federation, PAC for his commitment to protect your gun rights; and Oregon Right to Life for his commitment to protecting the life of every child.
