Today was a triumphant win for communities around Oregon with the passage of HB 4134. My “Housing Oregon’s Workforce” bill would not have been possible without the bipartisan support of Rep Gomberg and the partnership of McMinnville city officials throughout the interim. This legislation will create 535 new units of housing across the communities of McMinnville, Toledo, Burns, and Amity. While this is a great start, I am hopeful HB 4134 will create a model for how we can continue to support Oregon’s workforce and mid-sized communities.
