Rep. James Hieb Updates on Veterans Legislation

February 8, 2024 – Rep. James Hieb: SB 1549 – Help Veterans Save Military Retirement Pay From Taxation

Today in the Senate Committee on Finance & Revenue, Representative James Hieb will be advocating for SB 1549.

This important bipartisan & bicameral legislation will help Oregon veterans by exempting from state income tax up to $17,500 of retirement pay or pension received by individuals under the age of 63 for service in the U.S. Armed Forces, effective for tax years starting on or after January 1, 2024.
