Vancouver, WA. – On February 3, 2024, at approximately 1am, the Vancouver Fire Department was called for a motor vehicle accident on I-5 Northbound near the Mill Plain exit. Engine 1 and Truck 1 from the Downtown fire station responded to the scene. Truck 1, Engine 1 and AMR arrived to find the person trapped in a vehicle and needing the Jaws of Life to remove him from the vehicle. It took the crews 10 minutes to untangle the patient from the vehicle and move him to the ambulance for transport to Peace Health Southwest.
Washington State Patrol (WSP) was on scene and investigating the accident. All inquiries regarding details of the accident should be directed to WSP.
