WHITE CITY, OR. – The suspect from Sunday’s shooting in White City is in custody following a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives, SWAT, K9, and Crisis Negotiator Team operation. The investigation is continuing, further details will be released later.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives are on scene investigating a shooting in White City. JCSO deputies responded to a call for gunshots and someone calling for help this evening at 6:51 p.m in the area of 29th Street and Avenue G in White City. The suspect fled the scene and is currently on the run. The victim is in critical condition at a local hospital.
Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew each other and there is no known danger to the general public. If you have information about the shooting, call ECSO Dispatch at (541)776-7206. This case is under further investigation with detectives following additional leads. There is no further information available for release.
