Bend, OR. – Bend Fire Department responded to Deschutes River Woods for a house on fire in the early morning hours of 1/28/24. A neighbor called 911 just after 4am stating the house across the street was on fire. Crews responded to Faugarwee Cir and found the house to fully involved when they arrived. They quickly stopped the fire and contained it to the house. It was determined that no one was home at the time of the fire. The caused an estimated $25,000 in damages. The home, 1970’s manufactured home, is considered a complete loss as well as its contents.
The fire cause was not determined after the investigation due to the extent of damage to the home. The does appear to be accidental but the direct cause can’t be pinpointed. The owners were contacted here in town and are working with their insurance company to begin the clean up process.
