On Thursday, January 25, 2024, at about 0213am Albany Police Department received a 911 call from the 600 block of 34th Ave SE, Albany, Linn County, OR. The 911 caller reported his roommate had been shot by his girlfriend at the residence. Officers responded to the area and located the victim near the front door with a gunshot wound to his head. Albany Fire Department responded and performed life-saving measures and transported the victim to the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Corvallis. The victim has been identified as Albany resident, Lucas Allen Forbes, 30 years of age. The victim is in critical condition.
Albany Police Officers contacted Forbes’ girlfriend, Hami W Lee (34) DOB 02/23/1989. Hami Lee cooperated with investigators at the scene. Hami Lee was later taken into custody for crimes involving domestic violence to include, Assault in the second degree, Menacing, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
The Albany Police Department are thankful for the cooperation of the roommate for reporting domestic violence, and the Albany Fire Department and medical staff who provided care for the victim.
