As we release 2023….
I have changed my Voter Registration to Not a Member of a Party as I can no longer be a member of any party.
I have left the Democratic Party with plenty of time for them to identify another candidate.
This path of politics is not for me. In a short two months the pressure from special interest groups and suggestions on how I should think and frame responses to PAC questionnaires shocked me to the reality of how our country is being run.
I prefer to walk my own path as a global citizen who cares deeply about Philanthropy at the grassroots level where community-based social changes happens through the non profit sector.
When you hear yourself angry and complaining just go do something for another person.
Offer to empty the senior citizen’s cart at Wal Mart, volunteer to feed the homeless at Salvation Army, teach a free community-based fitness class if you’re an instructor, volunteer time at domestic violence, bring a bag of dog food to the local animal shelter.
I was clear that I did not want to accept money and my two months became about the encouragement to apply for PAC money.
I want no part of this. Something has to change. People are so angry about politics and it’s affecting relationships of children in school and they aren’t talking to each other because of which way their parents are voting.
Call to Action to all Americans, Global Citizens, 2024 United States 🇺🇸 Candidates, including Presidential Candidates: find a passion project in your community and be part of the solution.
Encourage people who start complaining to look in the mirror and ask themselves what they can do to contribute to their community either by volunteering or donating to local non profit organizations that are creating change.
To those running for office…stop fundraising for your campaigns and do something meaningful that will generate news stories about you rather than expensive advertising. Make 2024 truly the time to Bridge the Divide and run campaigns a new way.
I could no longer partake in a system of America where billions are spent on campaigns across America with funding from PACs and special interest groups. Politicians in America are suffocated the moment they accept money.
I will continue to walk my own campaign of global humanity for citizens to be the solution in communities.
My message is to people to volunteer and donate to local non profits providing meaningful resources.
I honor and thank the amazing people who came to my Town Hall and Listening sessions and home gatherings in Joseph, Enterprise, Cove, La Grande who shared their thoughts on success stories, barriers, perceived fiscal needs and ways to contribute back in their community.
Since my withdrawal and walking my own path and Campaign as a global citizen, over $12,000 has been contributed to local non profits in just the last week.
As a Global citizen I will more effectively implement my campaign vision and message and will continue to do so without the need to run for office.
The power for social change lies within The People!
