- What: The Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center is holding a vibrant celebration of diversity and community at this year’s Winter Fête!
- When: Dec. 16 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. From 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. there will be crafts, food, and activities and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. there will be a dance party and music.

- What: Jubilate, the Women’s Choir of Corvallis is holding a Winter Concert and a Solstice Concert!
- When: Winter Concert is Dec. 16 at 7:00 p.m. and the Solstice Concert is Dec. 21 at 7:00 p.m.
- Where: Winter Concert is being held at the First United Methodist Church located at 1165 NW Monroe Avenue. The Solstice Concert is being held at the First Congregational Church located at 4515 SW West Hills Road.

How about Pepsi CO Xmas lites at the fairgrounds?
Why can’t the City of Corvallis Chamber of Commerce or Jaycees put out the money to hire workers to put up and and take down the displays for the Pepsi Xmas Lites . look what happened to Albany 20 years ago. Albany lost $200000 to $300000 in motel room tax the first year they didn’t have a Timber Carnival. Why?, Jaycees were $35000 in the hole. Who did the Math? Just think all the people who come to see the lites, just might enjoy dinner out in one of Corvallis’s many restaurants and bars. or maybe enjoy a show at Whitesides
