The Young Republicans of Oregon made it official on Monday September 25th, 2023 to endorse UFCW 555’s Recall on Democrat Representative Paul Holvey (HD-8).
While we are not in support of UFCW, we are proud of their actions to stand up and remove a powerful Democrat from Office. Paul Holvey is the Speaker pro tempore, which is one of the three strongest offices in the House of Representatives. If UFCW succeeds, and Rep. Holvey is recalled, an appointment will take place from the Lane County Board of Commissioners. While they are required to appoint a Democrat back into this seat, this will allow Republicans to have a chance to take this seat in the ’24 Election Cycle. UFCW has supported Rep. Holvey knowing that he does not care for the people of House District 8, and is in it for himself. We are excited that the residents of House District 8 are realizing that as well.
We stand in solidarity with the residents of House District 8 against Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters, and other groups who want to enable Holvey’s stand against public safety, economic growth, and protection of our natural resources. Vote YES to recall Speaker Pro-Tem Paul Holvey!
