September 20, 2023 – House Republican Conference: AG Merrick Garland Admits David Weiss Did Not Have Full Authority In The Hunter Biden Investigation
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan got Attorney General Merrick Garland to admit that the United States Attorney for Delaware David Weiss did not have full authority during the Hunter Biden investigation, directly contradicting Garland’s previous claims.
In March, Garland told Senator Chuck Grassley that if Weiss needed to bring charges against Hunter Biden in another jurisdiction, he would have full authority to do that.
During today’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, Chairman Jordan highlighted how this was not the case, pointing out how the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia had turned down Weiss’ request to bring charges against Hunter Biden in the District of Columbia.
“They could refuse to partner with him,” Garland told Jordan.
MAKE NO MISTAKE: Refusing to partner is turning down.
