PORTLAND, Ore. — A McMinnville man has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison after admitting to possessing a large quantity of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in Yamhill County.
John Billy Donnahoo, 52, received a sentence of 120 months in federal custody last Tuesday, followed by five years of supervised release.
According to court documents, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Donnahoo’s residence on May 25, 2024. During the search, investigators seized more than one pound of methamphetamine, along with multiple firearms, ammunition, digital scales, and more than $16,000 in cash.
A federal grand jury in Portland returned a multi-count indictment against Donnahoo on July 16, 2024. He later pleaded guilty on November 19, 2025, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
The case was investigated by the McMinnville Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott M. Kerin.
