Ben Fisher (Republican), 7th Generation Oregonian, Announces Candidacy for Oregon House District 18
[Hubbard, OR] – Ben Fisher, a small business owner, father, and political activist has announced his candidacy for Oregon Legislative House District 18. As a proud descendant of Reverend Ezra Fisher, one of Oregon’s influential founding figures and a notable abolitionist, Ben is committed to carrying forward his family’s legacy of service and advocacy.
Representing Silverton, Molalla, Hubbard, Aurora, St. Paul, Mt. Angel, and surrounding areas, Ben aims to be a champion for the values that have made Oregon a special place to live. “As a seventh-generation Oregonian, I understand the importance of preserving our state’s unique spirit while addressing the challenges of today,” he said. “My experience as a small business owner and a single dad has given me a practical perspective on the issues that matter most to our communities.”
Ben’s platform focuses on supporting policies that promote local businesses, improving education, ensuring that basic rights are not infringed upon, and protecting Oregon’s natural beauty. “My ancestor, Reverend Fisher, fought for equality and justice. I’m committed to continuing that fight by working tirelessly for the people of District 18,” he added.
Throughout his campaign, Ben invites conversations with neighbors, friends, and fellow community members about the future of Oregon. “I’m excited to listen, share my vision, and work collaboratively to make District 18 an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
