Vancouver, WA. — The Vancouver Fire Department responded Tuesday morning to a fire involving a travel trailer being used as a permanent residence in the 10400 block of Northeast 53rd Street.
Fire crews arrived to find the trailer actively burning and immediately began suppression efforts while checking nearby trailers for potential damage. Their rapid response prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding units.
The fire was brought under control by 10:02 a.m. No injuries were reported. One occupant was displaced by the fire and declined medical evaluation at the scene. Damage to the trailer was described as major.
The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was caused by an electrical issue. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced resident.
All Vancouver Fire Department units returned to service shortly after the incident. Fire officials commended crews for their quick action and coordinated response, which helped protect the surrounding community.
