Oregon — Washington County conservative media personality David Medina, founder of Oregonians for America (OFA) Media, filed to run for Governor on January 14. Medina has yet to issue an announcement, but posted on Facebook on January 15 that he was changing the OFA Media Facebook page’s name to “David Medina.”
The Democratic Party of Oregon was quick to comment:
Conspiracy theories and extremism clearly have a safe home in the Oregon GOP. Oregon Republican, January 6er and right-wing conspiracy theorist David Medina just filed to run for Governor. Stay tuned!
Oregon Democrats have only posted about one other candidate this cycle, Senator Christine Drazan. Marion County Commissioner Danielle Bethell and other Republicans seeking the nomination have yet to find a place on Democratic Party’s social media radar.
Medina posted the following statement on his Facebook page:
Oregon is worth saving.
I can no longer stand by as our radical, Democrat leaders continue their assault on our families, businesses, and communities.
We’re DONE allowing the radical-left define us.
We’re DONE being labeled ‘hateful’ because we won’t go along with radical agendas.
This isn’t about right vs. left or Republican vs. Democrat. It’s about GOOD vs. EVIL. The PEOPLE vs. an out of control GOVERNMENT.
This land belongs to ALL OF US.
