Medford, OR. — The Medford Police Association (MPA) made special holiday deliveries this Christmas season, awarding significant donations to local nonprofits and health care organizations serving the Rogue Valley.
Five community organizations — CASA of Jackson County, Youth 715 Ministries, Rogue Valley Mentoring, Reclaiming Lives, and the Southern Oregon Humane Society — each received a $2,500 check to support their ongoing work in the community.
In addition to the charitable donations, the MPA also supported the Medford Police Department No Shave November initiative. During the annual fundraiser, department employees grew facial hair to raise money for local cancer care and research efforts. The initiative raised $2,500, which was presented to the Asante Foundation and the Heimann Cancer Care Center.
Funds from the No Shave November campaign will support the organizations’ Compassion Fund, which provides financial assistance to cancer patients facing economic hardship.
The Medford Police Association is a public benefit nonprofit corporation funded by Medford police employees. Its mission is to enhance public safety and promote community well-being through charitable giving, scholarships, and educational initiatives that support both residents and members of the Medford Police family.
MPA leaders said they are proud to partner with local organizations and contribute to programs that provide vital services throughout the community.
