Forest Grove, OR. — A 71-year-old Forest Grove resident was killed early Saturday morning after a vehicle struck her while she was riding a mobility scooter near Pacific Avenue and Oak Street, according to the Forest Grove Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 6:46 a.m. on December 6, 2025, and learned from medical personnel that the woman had died at the scene. Her family has been notified. The driver involved in the initial collision remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to process the scene, and the crash remains under investigation.
While officers and reconstruction specialists were working, an unrelated vehicle drove past a police car with emergency lights activated, a road-closure sign, and a public works truck with warning lights, entering the active crash site. Police say the driver was arrested for DUII and was found to have a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Beaverton Police Department, Sherwood Police Department, Forest Grove Fire and Rescue, American Medical Response, the Washington County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Forest Grove Public Works.
