Oregon City, OR — A Gresham man has been convicted in connection with a late-night shooting incident in Milwaukie last summer.
According to the Milwaukie Police Department, 20-year-old Alon Washington was found guilty of Unlawful Use of a Weapon on October 13, 2025, following an investigation into a July incident where multiple rifle shots were fired near residential homes.
The case stems from a July 3rd call at approximately 12:55 a.m., when officers responded to reports of “four to five loud booms” in the 3100 block of SE Lake Road. Responding officers located several expended rifle casings in the street. Despite the close proximity to homes, no injuries or property damage were reported.
Milwaukie detectives canvassed the neighborhood, gathering video footage and interviewing witnesses. This led to key evidence identifying Washington as a person of interest. Investigators later executed multiple search warrants, resulting in his arrest.
“The Milwaukie Police Department would like to thank the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance on this case,” police said in a statement.
The department continues to request community assistance for any additional information related to the incident. Tips can be submitted by email to bentleyg@milwaukieoregon.gov or through the Milwaukie Police tip line at 503-786-7425, referencing case number 25-3929.
Washington’s conviction marks the conclusion of a months-long investigation into the gunfire that briefly alarmed residents of the quiet Milwaukie neighborhood.
