Eugene, OR. – Official Release: On April 14, at 8:52 a.m. Eugene Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Barger Road and Primrose Street, just west of the entrance to Shasta Middle School on Barger. It was reported as a head-on crash between an Audi S3 with a 35-year-old male driver and four child passengers, and a Ford F-150 with a 61-year-old male driver.
Two children and one adult male associated with the Audi were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Audi’s driver was reported to be going westbound on Barger Drive and nearly struck a crosswalk guard and school children in a crosswalk prior to striking a Ford F-150 head-on. The Ford was stopped in traffic heading eastbound on Barger Drive. The Audi’s driver may have suffered a medical incident and there was no indication of alcohol impairment.
Eastbound Barger was completely blocked for the emergency response.
