Corvallis, OR. — Official Release: The Independent Research and Science Team (IRST) of the Oregon Department of Forestry’s Adaptive Management Program will hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Pacific Time).
The five-member IRST committee coordinates research in support of the Oregon Department of Forestry’s Adaptive Management Program, which helps to determine if forest practices are meeting their goals to protect natural resources through a science-based and transparent process. The IRST works with the Adaptive Management Program Committee (AMPC). The AMPC sets the research agenda that the IRST implements. The Oregon State University Institute for Natural Resources is the housing agency for IRST and provides staff support. More information is available on the IRST webpages.

- Discussion of lessons learned in the first year of operations and milestones for year two
- Selection of a new vice-chair
- Development of the road-stream connectivity research scoping proposal
- Public comment period
The meetings are open to the public to attend online or in-person. Virtual meeting information can be found in the agenda on the IRST meetings webpage.
