Linn County, OR. – Official Release: Yesterday afternoon, a Linn County jury returned guilty verdicts for second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy against Billy Jack Robinson and Tenisha Bourne. The victim, 38-year-old Charles Thomas Mooney, was shot while asleep in his home on Willoway Drive in June 2021.
Sentencing for Robinson and Bourne is scheduled for August 6, 2024.
Sheriff Duncan commends the dedicated employees of the Sheriff’s Office whose detailed work brought justice to Charles Mooney and his family. From the responding patrol deputies and the dispatchers who took the initial call to the team of detectives who worked tirelessly from the initial scene through the trial, to the jail and transport deputies charged with the care and custody of both suspects, Linn County citizens have much to be proud of in their Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, our partners at the Linn County District Attorney’s Office prepared and delivered an exceptional case at trial and deserve our commendation.
