Nells-N-Out
Moving from Southern California to Eastern Oregon ten years ago, I laughed seeing that instead of In-N-Out I would be getting something called Nells-N-Out. Believe it or not, I much prefer Nells! In-N-Out is great but the burgers were never more than a 6.0 for me. When I want burgers, I want options. And I’m never choosing something basic.
The Verdict: 7.0
The Fire Burger is everything you want from a small-town drive-in joint spicy hamburger. Jarred jalapeños and pepper jack cheese would be elevated with something spicier than their house sauce, but they provide exactly the flavor combo you’re seeking. And the prices are phenomenal – $7.50 for a 1/4 patty makes it cheaper than any equivalent fast food option. I’m already looking forward to another one!
